Yatta!

I've completed the 4 week paleo challenge!  It went by super fast, but may have changed my relationship with food forever.  Anyways, as promised here's my comparison/experience:
I didn't take legitimate before pictures, but here's a couple from summer 2011, when I was doing Insanity and on the 'eat whatever the hell I feel like' and drinking regularly days:

For a quantitative analysis, I dropped 4 lbs, 3% body fat, gained 1lb muscle mass, and boosted my 'metabolic age' by 4 years.  I also lost 2 inches off of my waist, half an inch off of my hips, chest & each quad (sad face) and arms are the same, with difference in composition, as you can see.

Super awesome results, and I do feel good.  I think I'll stick with the major components of the diet.
Yesterday I ate one non-paleo meal.  I had a lettuce wrapped bacon cheese burger with sweet potato fries from the Habit.  Surprisingly, they put brown sugar on the sweet potato fries.  This, I believe, fucked me up. I had mild heart burn (which I don't get from the curry I make almost weekly) and was a little gasier than usual.  I continued to drink water throughout the evening, but woke up with a headache :(  It felt like a mild hangover.  I couldn't believe one meal made me feel so shitty.  This experience has made up my mind that sugar may very well be the devil.  It has to go.  I'm not so sure about dairy yet.  Its still the highest food on my healthy vs f off scale. So stay tuned on updates on my battle to love dairy!
